KMCT’s e learning project has been awarded by “India CSR” in Education Innovation. The award as given by actor and businessmen Mr. Akbar Khan and union minister Mr. Ramdas Athwale in the event at Sahara Hotel on 26th May, 2017.

On 27th August, 2016 KMCT’s EDP project has been awarded by India CSR for implementing Innovative project with the vision of creating entrepreneur form less privileged.
On 1st Sep, 2016 KMCT has received two National awards “Best Education Improvement” and “Best Environment Sustainability”
KMCT – Head Mr. Upendra Sontakke has received award of “CSR professional Of the year” from India CSR on 27th August 2016.
Zilla Parishad Palghar has awarded KMCT for the great contribution in mission “Hagandari Mukta Gaon” of 557 toilets in the village of Haloli – Bot.
KMCT has been awarded as "CSR Leadership Award" by "World CSR Day" on 1st September 2016.
On the basis of success from pilot project of last year; KMCT has started 4 new e Learning centres (computer literacy) in ZP schools of Palghar and Vasai taluka. At each centre we have installed 10 brand new computers, a big UPS system for power back up, furniture and full time trainer.
SRI (System of Rice Intensification is a technique used to increase more yield) training were held through ZEP SART organization in 4 villages of Palghar District benefiting 60 farmers.The farmers were not only trained but also provided with crops and machine to yield the wild grass.
To eradicate malnutrition KMCT has initiated a pilot project at Jadhavpada, Kuvarpada and Khairpada Anganwadis of Vasai taluka. Under the Initiative 160 children will be provided supplementary food for three months.
KMCT conducted preventive health check-up camp at Kude and Khaire village in PalgharTaluka in collaboration with Bhakti Vedanta Hospital, it involved physician check up, blood sugar and ophthalmic check up. We have screened 203 patients and 5 have got operated for cataract.
Four year ago 5 students saw a dream to make this car of their own they launched a Prahar racing car. Even after knowing the risk being involved in achieving success KMCT supported students financially. It was a proud movement for KMCT as well as for Swaraswati College of Engineering when the Prahar Racing car represented India and ranked 6th at international level in 2017.
An exposure was given to ASTARC associate to participate in noble cause: “Blood Donation”. In collaboration with KEM Hospital two camps were organized at our Head Office and Pelhar plant. Total 110 units of blood were collected. KEM blood banks doctor said that this blood can save 330 humans life.
On 29th March, our “Eradication of Malnourishment Project” was felicitated by Palghar Zilla Parishad. CDPO Ms. Surekha mentioned that “KMCT has implemented this project and within three months they made three anganwadis Malnourishment Free, children’s weight has increased by 400gm". Now all 160 children are enjoying good health and enjoying pre-school learning.
SHG women of Vehloli and Vangan pada, Palghar District were trained for Diya and Lamp making. 17 women prepared 900 Diya for Diwali sale, this is a first step taken by them as a Self Help Group to increase their income.
On 5th & 6th July, KMCT has planted 2140 tree saplings in association with 36 ZP Schools. For this activity 13 volunteers (ASTARC Staff) also participated. For the great survival of planted trees 400 metal tree guards are also provided.
20,000 Note books were distributed in remote villages of Palghar district and Konkan region as a part of KMCT flagship activity. This activity ensures students participation at school and improving their writing.
This project is initiated to prevent children from suffering eyesight issues in future, it caters to the Zilla Parishad schools in Vasai, Palghar and Wada Taluka. 949 students have been screen in 4 Z.P schools and 10 students are provided with spectacles. Teachers are briefed on the importance of proper nutrients so that they can guide parents to improve their food patterns.
