There is no greater threat to the long-term well-being of humanity than Global Warming. The world emitted approximately 43 billion metric tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) a year (2020) from all human activities like burning of fossil fuels, including agriculture and forest land use. Additionally, the concentration of carbon dioxide (CO2) in our atmosphere, as of May 2020, is the highest it has been in human history. If left unchecked, the world is likely to face famines, droughts, diseases, severe storms and an increase in natural calamities such as earthquake and tsunamis that will decimate the Earth’s population. The time to act is now!
KMCT has pledged to “Plant and Sustain 1 Million trees” within the next 5 years in the form of bio-diverse afforestation models - planting native forest trees so as to absorb approx. a whopping 1,67,500 Tons of CO2 from the atmosphere to reduce our human Carbon footprint and mitigate climate change and global warming which are threats to the entire life on our planet.
